Ecore is proud to announce its Aurora surface received a 2020 Product Innovations Award from BUILDINGS and interiors+sources magazines. Aurora uses patented itsTRU™ technology to fusion bond a calendered rubber wear layer with a factory applied PUR system to 5mm of Ecore’s vulcanized composition rubber backing.

The BUILDINGS and interiors+sources editorial staffs evaluated submissions in terms of their innovation and contribution to productive workplaces. Aurora received a merit-level award in the flooring category.

“We are delighted that Aurora has received a Product Innovations Award,” said Bo Barber, executive vice president of sales and marketing at Ecore. “This two-layered surface is manufactured to reduce the severity of fall-related injuries while mitigating liability; as such, it’s ideal for a variety of applications, especially healthcare. In addition to being ergonomic and quiet underfoot, Aurora creates a more comfortable space to work.”

As a recipient of a Product Innovations award, Aurora is a member of an elite group of 33 innovative products that will be showcased in the September/October issue of BUILDINGS and interiors+sources magazines. This annual competitive awards program is for manufacturers of commercial interior building products and went virtual for the first time this year, because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
