Photo Gallery The D.I.N certified Boflex Sport Floor is the result of over 20 years of testing to perfect the ultimate in a pre-finished, high performance hardwood floor system. Boflex has been engineered to accomodate the high demand for quality hardwood floor surfacing for basketball courts, aerobics rooms, dance studios, and a variety of other applications. Through constant improvements in the manufacturing process, Boflex is now an economical alternative for a multi-use hardwood sport floor.

Utilizing a patented resilient foam channel understructure, Boflex is a unique floor system with the progressive resilience for safety, performance and comfort. The shock absorption channels allow even small children or lightweight athletes to gain immediate resilience. Tests carried out by numerous international sports institutes show that Boflex surpasses its rivals when it comes to shock absorption. The fact that Boflex exceeds all the requirements of D.I.N. standards is a testimony to the quality and engineering of this flooring product.

Environmental Information: There is no more emotive "green" issue than the use of timber.

•  Hardwood products - unlike synthetic alternatives - come from renewable resources, which in the main can be regrown in a human life span.

•  The manufacture of hardwood products utilizes substantially less energy than their synthetic alternatives.

•  BOEN has never knowingly procured anything other than from properly managed and sustainable sources.

•  Reforestation all over the world is a major concern of BOEN and the Johan G. Olsen Group. The group annually contributes 100 times its consumption of wood through its daughter companies.

•  3-ply construction utilize the hardwood well, given the fact that only the wear layer (appr. 1/3 of the product) is from "slow growing" forest. 2/3 of the product is fast growing soft wood.

By-products of production of hardwood floors and its use:

•  Minimum waste is produced during the manufacture of BOEN floors.

•  No production of toxic by-products

•  The only by-product from manufacture is sawdust and wood chip. This is fully utilized in the factories' kilns to produce heat and hot water or is incorporated into other timber-based products.

•  Adhesives and lacquers are specifically selected to ensure that no toxic gases or similar by-products are produced.

•  All by-products in maintaining / cleaning are deposited in separate containers and transported to destruction units.

Boflex Technology with Mix and Match Top Surface
D.I.N. Deck

The revolutionary D.I.N. Deck subfloor system provides the performance of Boflex with the flexibility of a top surface best suited for your unique application and vision. The multi-layered floor boards feature Boflex's patented, integrated resilient foam channels and, when combined with a polyurethane, PVC, or rubber top surface (such as Centaur's Gymlastic product), results in a D.I.N. certified multipurpose gymnasium floor. This combination provides durability and protection for multi-purpose use (meetings, dances, cafeterias, events, etc.), yet maintains excellent sport performance. Feeling limited by the standard Boflex finished hardwood surfaces? D.I.N. Deck gives you the freedom to choose virtually any surface, including custom wood finishes, that will meet your aesthetic and technical needs.

Boflex with a Traditional Profile

Doubleflex Hardwood Sport Floor

When predetermined site conditions dictate a traditional profile (i.e. depressed slab), Doubleflex is your option. Boflex stability, reliability, and performance available with a profile of 2 5/8”.

The Doubleflex system uses our 3/4” Isoflex rubber conical pads attached to two layers of 1/2” plywood that are both glued and screwed together. The top layer is a 7/8” prefinished, engineered floorboard with a full 1/4” wear layer. The Doubleflex system is extremely dimensionally stable and the engineered floorboards eliminate over 50% of the gapping found in traditional solid wood floors.
