Sampson's Chirp on Adhesive
May 20, 2011
This is the inaugural issue of "The Sampson Report". Each month Sampson will bring you up to date on what's new, what works, and what doesn't.
This month the Report is on adhesive. We get many inquiries concerning use of a general purpose adhesive to install flooring purchased from Centaur.
In every case, we will encourage the customer to use the adhesive recommended by the manufacturer. The unique properties of the product, the sub floor type, the environmental conditions, whether it's an indoor or outdoor installation, all play a role in the choice of adhesive.
The manufacturer has done extensive research to determine the right adhesive to match the product and the circumstances. Adhesive is one area that you don't want to try to cut corners. Follow the manufacturer's recommendation and know that you will get maximum results from your new floor.
