Question:

Are the Plank and Tile products appropriate for weight room applications?

Answer:

Plank and Tile are luxury vinyl tiles that are 3mm thickness and are designed for high traffic applications. The tiles can handle the weight of strength machines, cardio pieces and benches. But because of it being only 3mm thick, it does not provide adequate protection for the concrete if heavy dumbbells are slammed on the floor. I would suggest that Plank and Tile not be used in the heavy training area of a traditional health club where heavy weights are present.
