Driving on our Wood Floor
April 22, 2009

Question:We have a Boflex Hardwood floor in our basketball court. We have halogen lights installed in our ceiling and occasionally need to replace the bulbs. The only way we can reach the fixtures is with a "cherry picker" attached to a vehicle. Can we drive the vehicle on the Boflex floor?

- J. Coons, Annapolis, MD

Answer: The patented Boflex system has a built-in shock absorption material (Evazote 50) and the construction can withstand an almost unlimited load. Evazote 50 is a cross-linked, close cell system. Evazote 50 is manufactured without the use of environmentally hazardous gases. Due to the special construction the material can never be compressed more than 50% which means a Boflex floor can never be overloaded.
